05:25 pm - Christmas break So, I have terribly neglected LJ for so long. Well, it is almost break time. My first semester in college was good. I took 4 classes and worked 2 jobs. It was busy, but college life is amazing. I made amazing friends, and had fun times. I cannot wait to continue next semester. The break will be good, I need some "me" time. I will also get to hang out with some old friend who I haven't seen since this summer. I am really excited, and happy with life right now. Just one more exam, and then it's home for christmas. 09:24 am - Hmm So, I have been at Guilford for almost a week now. I have to say, it's working out pretty well. I have changed my classes and now have to return and buy books. Sidenote: books are too expensive. Last night we heard that there was a bonfire, so we went to find it. We went the wrong way and found this random group of people in the woods who gave up directions. So we followed their directions, but took a wrong turn and walked around the lake and back to the same group of people. They gave up directions again, and we eventually found the fire, but no one was there. So, we sat around the fire for a while, then left. As we were leaving we passed so many people on there way there, but we just didn't want to walk back out there. Entonces, we hung out in the dorm for a while and went to bed, yay sleep. So, I have had my first Guilford woods experience. Current Location: my room Current Mood: awake Current Music: wqfs

10:46 pm - At last I finally got my dorm and roomate assignment. I got the dorm I wanted!! Hurrah for Binford. My roomate is from Miami, Fl. I am really excited about getting to know someone new. I realize that it's dorky but I am. This whole college thing is just now hitting me and it's actually happening. I am now packing up my room and prepairing to move out. It is an odd feeling, but not bad. I am ready to go. I am looking forward to so much. There are so many oppurtunities and whatnot.
Oh, and I think I found a work study job in the history department. So, that is exciting.

01:45 am - Vacation I have had a great time with the family out west. It was nice to spend time together, but it is also good to be going home. I spent two weeks away at breakaway and the trail hike. They were both amazing and I am so sad that I can't go back to breakaway, and that I hadn't gone to the trail hike before. ACS is in like a week, and I am really excited. I am also really nervous because the last rescom meeting is tuesday, and then comes ACS. So much work, but even more fun!! Oh, I love conference events. They light up my life.

10:09 pm - Summer!!! School is officially out, and I graduated. I am now entering the chaos that is my summer. Breakaway is in one week and the Trail Hike after that. I can't wait to see all the conference people again!! Really there is too long of a gap between Global Visoin and Breakaway. However, I am glad that I had a break between Pilgramage and Breakaway, so I count myself lucky. Long story short, I am excited about the start of summer and getting to see lots of people and the college adventure to follow.

08:07 am - Weekend! So, another sleepless weekend is upon us. Last week it was a lockin, and this week I'm going to relay for life. I'm just not destined to sleep on the weekends. I only have two classes!! How amazing is that? I do still have to come to school at 8am because I don't have a car. However, I am getting all my spanish community service helping kids at the middle school. Well, yay for no sleep and raising money for cancer. It should be fun.

07:58 am - Hurrah! So, I took my last AP test yesterday. I think I passed, which is good, but even better is that I no longer have a first or second period at all. I do not have to be at school until 11:30. The only problem with this is that I don't have a car, so I still get here really early and hang out for several hours. Actually, I have started doing my volunteer work for spanish, so it's not all bad. I finally won a game of Risk. I got a board for my birthday, and had lost every game I played, but I finally won. Yay for taking over the world.

03:43 pm - Disney Magic So, I love Disney with a passion. I was bored today, so I was looking at their website, and the next time we go, we are taking tours. Three in particular: Backstage Safari, Disney's Family Magic Tour, and especially Backstage Magic. I wouldn't mind the Dolphins in Depth, or the VIP Tour Service, but these three are musts. Granted they are quite pricey, but I will save my pennies starting now!! I am super excited! Prom is this weekend, and it should be lots of fun. Harmony is my date, and we are making our own corsages. It should be great!

03:40 pm - new life goal I have found the perfect life. I decided that, since I know a lot of people who are set on world domination (really only 3, but that's a lot of people ruling the world), I would like to be the girlfried of the ruler of the world. That way, I get all the benifits of world domination without the effort. All I have to do is sit back and relax. I figure history and languages would help me, so I can keep my intended majors. I like this new goal. Thoughts?

12:11 pm So, the Easter break is quickly approaching. That means a four day weekend, and a trip to AL. Should be fun. Jessie is also coming home, and I might have the opportunity to ride in Terra Electra. That would be amazing because my last ride got cut short when I had to drive Aunt Beth home. School is school, does anything ever change? The work load seems to be letting off as we approach the AP tests, and then there's yearbook...need I say more...and Spanish 4, but our teacher is leaving for maternity leave. Res Com meeting is coming up, hopefully people come and are still writting resolutions. I will be happy as long as I don't have to write all of them, but things are looking positive. Yay! for conference!!

02:49 pm - Global Vision Well, Global Vision was amazing. It was even better than last year! I met cool new people and got to know "old" people better. I even got married. I saw three broadway plays: Avenue Q, Phantom of the Opera, and Hairspray, Oh I love the theatre!! The seminar was lots of fun; we talked about tolerance and religion, and the reasons behind extreamism. I am heartbroken that I can't go again next year. Global Vision was followed by a week in the mountians hiking and watching Disney movies. Fun and relaxing. Saturday was Spring into Guilford, which helped me make up my mind... I'm going to guilford next year. At last a decision, now watch me change my mind next week. So, now school is back and AP tests are quickly approaching. Grr at school, but yay that it's almost over! 12:08 pm - Hurray I'm leaving tonight!!!! I get to have dinner with Jessie, and then get on a bus (driven by tom) and ride to DC. The next day, after a seminar, it's back on the bus and on to NY!!! Once in NY, more seminar, Broadway, and the fabulousness that is Global Vision!! I am thrilled and can't wait! Yay for Conference.

12:26 pm So, Global Vision is comming up in like two weeks!! I can't wait. Since I forgot to email Sue Ellen and tell her that Avenue Q is a bit risque, bo we are going to see it. We are also seeing Hairspray. I am super excited!!! A few days off of school to talk about nationalism and the struggle aginst extreamism. It's gonna be great! School is spooty. Really it's only stat and calc. We have assignments due everyday until the AP test. However, after the AP test, I only have yearbook and Spanish 4, should be fun. I can't wait to graduate!!! Other than school and excitement about Global Vision, I have no life at present.

11:52 am - Calculus I feel like crying. We just turned a calc assingment that I spent like two hours on, and couldn't do half of it. This morning we went to see Gabriele and he said it was a homework grade and we would go over it. Well, we went over it, but we couldn't change anything, and he took it up. What's more, all the problems that I had so much trouble with are actually very easy. I feel pretty stupid. I suppose it evens out because I thought I failed the last test in there, but I actually made an 85, and I have an A in the class. Hopefully he won't grade too harshly and I can still keep my A. He gave up a but load of homework this weekend, that I won't have time to do. I hope I pass the AP test so I never have to look at calculus ever again.

03:36 pm - Youth Group This weekend is our youth group ski trip. I have been skiing before, but never on a church trip. I'm excited, Margaret is coming! So, hopefully, we will get to room together and not have to room with freshmen. I love the kids in my youth group, but they are really annoying sometimes. Apparently this is a thing that the lake is doing, not just our church. So lots of chruches will be there. I wonder if I'll see anyone I know? It would totally rock if I did, but it will still be fun to meet new people. Global Vision is coming up fast!!! I can't wait; I'm so excited. Jonathan got in, he was worried 'cause he sent his stuff in like on the deadline, but it's all good. We already have plans to meet every morning for a starbucks run. I wonder who else is coming. It's gonna be great: broadway, friends, and tons and tons of fun. Current Mood: giddy Current Music: light my candle - rent

05:48 pm So, I haven't updated in a while, and I feel like I should. So, I have to go to Asheville for an interview later this month. That means that Mrs. Cooper is going to put me through interview training. I am grateful for the help, but I don't really want to sit through it. Granted I don't really want to have the interview in the first place, but I do want the scholarship. I am proud of myself. The past two weekends I have gone out with friends. Two weeks ago I went to see a movie, and last week, we went out to dinner and then to writesville to hang out. I am actuall starting to have a life, how odd. So Global Vision is coming up really soon. I am really excited. Conference is going to be great this year. It will be different, but it will e lots of fun. I can't wait!! So basicly, I am full of anticipation, and excitement. Current Mood: restless Current Music: tv

12:58 pm So, this weekend was fun. I had an ACS design team meeting so I went to see Jessie. She invited me to spend the night, then ditched me to go to dinner with her wife and family. So, I went to Doug and Jill's house. Lots of fun. I got little to no sleep, but... that's not important. On the college front, I am strongly leaning towards UNC-A. I think that is probably where I will go. I am soooo excited!!
